Okay, new folks, here is a small overview of what we offer here.

This is a small, friendly forum where folks can talk about stuff.

Our forum layout is as follows:

Welcome mat Don't be shy! Drop in here and tell us a little bit about yourself!

Announcements and Requests This is where folks can make announcements about things that are happening to them and or that they think are important (and don't fit in any other forum). Folks can request new forum features, etc, here, also.

The Money Pit This is where we discuss our hobbies (expensive as they are) and other peoples hobbies. Firearms, knife making, woodworking, other gear, electronics, etc.

Digital World Here we discuss computers, multimedia (dvd, blu-ray, cd music), software, websites of interest. Pretty much anything goes here if it's digital technology related.

On the side of the road No, not a

This forum is for buying, selling and trading of most anything that can legally be bought, sold or traded. "Legal" being the key word, here.

Le Shoppe @ Novarata This is our own Amazon web store. Things you buy here don't cost any more than regular Amazon, but purchasing them here helps support the forum.

Cosmo is a forum for discussion of things outside the internet. National and world events, politics, etc.

Cover your tracks is a forum to tell us about where you've been, where you are and where you're going.

Delectables Commestibili is about FOOD! GLORIOUS FOOD! (and some not so glorious)

• For forum members who actively contribute to the forum, your own blog set up with a personal subdomain. Some examples might be: warthogs-hanger.novarata.net or hunters-studio.novarata.net. Along with the blog, you can also get an email address (redirected to your normal email account). Nonfunctional examples: warthog

• There are over 50 custom BBCodes to utilize here (this isn't counting the 10 default BBCodes that ship with PhpBB)

Now on to the mean and nasty part:

Up until recently, this forum has grown through word of mouth. Recently, however the address has been made public and folks are trickling in on their own. If you are a newish user, and haven't posted anything within a year of your signing up, or have not been invited by one of our contributing forum members, your account will be deactivated. I don't like lurkers. There are plenty of other forums that can be used for that purpose.
